Xiaomi Mi 4K Box
Mi also recently launched Mi4k box which is for those who are looking around to amplify their smart TV and enhance their experience or convert their old TV to a new modern smart TV. It basically converts your normal smart TV into an Android TV which gives you access to Google Play Store as well as Google Assistant. Along with the Google Assistant, one can also control your smart home appliances too. The device will be able to play 4K and HDR content from various streaming platforms that support this format, like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. There is also additional connectivity on the device with a USB port and also 3.5mm digital out socket, along with Bluetooth to connect any headphones or wireless speakers for sound.
My opinion on this is this box is just another competitor to Google Chromecast and amazon fire TV stick, airtel stream stick, etc and MI has launched it in India after launching it in the US with only Amazon Prime as an extra button on the remote and some extra or fewer specifications now it depends upon the buyer that what exactly he needs.
Here are the specifications provided on the website:
• This Ultra-HD streaming player can be effortlessly installed in your home • You can stream content in 4K+ HDR 10 quality for realistic detail and vivid images • The Mi Box 4K comes with Chromecast Ultra built-in, so you can cast videos, photos, and more from your smartphone or tablet. This also allows you to access 1,000+ Chromecast-enabled apps 200,000+ TV shows and movies 30,000,000+ songs • Google Assistant-enabled. You can get answers, control your entertainment and do more • Equipped with a 2.0GHz Quad-core 64-bit processor, you don’t have to worry about speed, storage or stability • Connecting is hassle-free with USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0b and Bluetooth 4.2
Mi True Wireless Earphones 2
Mi also launched True Wireless Earphones 2 which as apt to their names which are truly wireless earphones and also feature 14.2mm drivers. Xiaomi India has exceptionally optimized the sound for Indian audience especially, the company has tuned it for Bollywood and other music which is Bass-heavy. Both of the earphones have microphones, one of which specifically works to minimize the background noise during the calls. The earphones were all over the world in March this year costing EUR 80 ( Rs. 6,600). But the rate in India is commendably low, as Xiaomi wants to compete with Realme. The Reame Buds Air cost around Rs. 3,999, and MI has reduced it’s cost significantly give a good competition to its rival here.
My opinion on this is basically MI has done a good job with this and these look good and instead of spending almost 25k on just earphones which Apple provides you can opt for Mi too, but just wait for some time for the reviews and other stuff before buying it.
